obimawari.jpg

Obi knot

The charm of kimono is in tying the obi

An obi made in our shop is also used for gorgeous combinations. The thin cloth seen at the top of the obi is an obiage, which adds thickness to the obi. The cord wrapped around the center of the obi is an obijime, which not only holds the obi in place but also serves as a decorative color accent. The layering of these colors creates a three-dimensional effect around the obi. Of course, these are also included in the set price.

About rental kimonos

What I think about rental kimonos...

The fee system at kimono rental shops is complicated. Look at the “~” that goes after the price on the web and on signs. Kimono and obi upgrade fees, additional fees for obi accessories and hair ornaments, and insurance fees are added to the basic fee. The fee system of rental kimono shops is to present inexpensive basic fees at the beginning, and to make a profit with additional fees after the customer enters the shop. There are free options for posting a review, but that is just selling personal information. I was disappointed with this system at my first kimono experience. Therefore, the price is clearly presented and there is no additional charge. It may seem surprising, but our set price is actually lower than the additional fees charged by other shops. I understand that this fee system unique to kimono rental shops is due to price competition, and while I cannot deny this, we strive to improve the value of the experience rather than the price.
