Yukata

Yukata

Yukata is typically worn in summer (around June to September), and men usually do not need to wear a haori (jacket) with it.

Obi

Obi (Belt)

The obi adds an accent with a decorative cord. Compared to kimono, the yukata uses a lighter obi, tied in a more decorative style.

Yukata is generally worn barefoot with wooden sandals (geta), while kimono is worn with tabi socks and zori sandals.

Nostalgic retro yukata

While bright red, pink, and floral yukata are popular, our shop offers a wide range of retro-style yukata in more subdued tones. (We do not carry lace yukata.) These nostalgic designs blend beautifully with the old-town atmosphere of Asakusa.
