When a traveler arrives at a kimono rental shop at their reserved time, they are often surprised to find the shop already packed with many other customers who have booked the same time slot. As they enter, the staff—already struggling with overbooking—are pushed beyond their limits, unable to respond or manage the situation properly, falling into complete confusion. This kind of scene is common at many kimono rental shops. Most visitors make reservations according to their travel schedules, but some make bookings without any intention of coming. After repeatedly experiencing such “no-shows,” many shops start accepting reservations that exceed their actual capacity to compensate for expected absences.
To prevent such mismatches and confusion, our shop requires a ¥2,000 reservation deposit per person. You can cancel online and receive a full refund up to 48 hours before your reserved time. We understand that advance payment may make some guests uneasy, but this system allows us to maintain proper reservation management and ensure stable, high-quality service.
